Celebrate in 2012
Chairman, Cllr Ron Forrest, wants to help the community to celebrate together in 2012.
This year the Queen's Diamond Jubilee takes place and the London 2012 Olympic Games and as already announced the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Route will also be passing through the district on Tuesday 22 May 2012.
Cllr Ron Forrest, said: "I would like to invite any community groups, schools or individuals that are looking to arrange an event for the Olympics or indeed for the Queen's Jubilee also taking place in 2012 to come forward and contact the council to let us know about your plans.
"Whether it is a sports day, firework event, street party or just a community get together day, we would love to hear about it."
